Scared And Excited At The Same Time!

~ July 19th, 2009 ~

Have you ever felt scared and excited at the same time?  My daughter was just preparing herself before going off to sleepaway camp for two weeks. She kept describing to me that she was afraid not of camp itself but the fact that she had to say goodbye.  At the same time she couldn’t wait to go to camp to meet new friends and participate in really exciting activities.

I explained to her that I’m sure she will have these pangs for 5-10 minutes at the most and then she should focus on having the time of her life!

How do I get more people to my home jewelry parties?

That’s great! You’ve identified a friend who wants to have a party! Maybe she’s a mom of your child’s friend from school or someone from the neighborhood. You know she’s social, fun and has a great network of friends. How can you, the consultant, help your hostess plan a successful party – helping and training the hostess is the key to party attendance and participation which will lead to higher sales.

I recommend the consultant obtain the invite list and sends each person a mailed invitation/postcard and a reminder call three days prior to the party. This is in addition to using Evite, which is a great, free online party scheduling tool. You can tell the guests that it will be a fun and relaxed ladies night out with special product offers. I also recommend a party theme -who doesn’t like to dress up or get in the spirit of things? I just went to a Senoritas and Magaritas party a few nights ago and it was fantastic to be at a Cinco De Mayo Fiesta party!

But the story didn’t end that way for one teenager after Laney High School basketball try-outs in the late ‘70s. Instead of believing that basketball wasn’t ‘his thing,’ the dejected player went home, had a good cry with his mother, and made a decision that changed history—to commit himself to improve.

Party for Profits!

~ May 5th, 2009 ~

The key to a thriving party plan business is sales. Where do the sales come from? Parties! So, it would stand to reason that the more successful your hostess is at filling up a room, the more rewards she will earn (FREE jewelry!) and the more sales you will generate. It’s a win-win scenario.

Sometimes, it’s hard for a hostess to come up with a list of who to invite to the party. So, here’s a fun and easy way to make a game out of it. Provide your hostess with a list on which you have “categories” of types of people. Offer the hostess an incentive (chosen by you) for getting a certain number (say 10) off the list.
